Humble beginnings

G'day,

If you made it here you've stumbled across my very first blog attempt!
Yes, after almost 8 years in the IT industry I've finally decided to take the plunge and share some of my musings online.

What has inspired me to start now you may ask? (or you might not...)

Well, after 7 years at Western Power (where I was the .NET Lead since their adoption of the platform), I've joined Fujitsu Consulting this year to broaden my horizons. One good part of the change is I'm now in the company of some rather clever blokes who happen to be regular .NET bloggers:
Shout out to Michael Minutillo, Brian Madsen, Jarred Sargent, plus several others that I probably haven't met yet.

I've been a regular blog reader for some years now, although you won't see me at any .NET User Group meetings due to time clashes with my other persona as a dance instructor (hence the title of my blog, but more on that later!).

So for now I'll endeavor to share some of my own experience and learning with ya'll, and maybe even return the favor to anyone I've quietly borrowed tips from over the years.
